Bioenergy Pharmaceuticals is a division developing infusible ethical pharmaceuticals to be used first as an
adjunct to cardiac perfusion imaging and dobutamine stress echocardiography (DSE), and later as a
therapeutic agent to improve the heart's response to oxygen deprivation (hypoxia), accelerate recovery
from hypoxic events, such as heart surgery, heart attack, or other conditions affecting heart or skeletal
muscle metabolism, and to retard cell death following ischemic or hypoxic insult. Future applications of
the technology include accelerating recovery from extended anesthesia and treatment of sepsis, burns, or
trauma.
